The vessel is part of a series of modern bulk carriers with a deadweight of approximately 62,000 DWT, representing another step in the ongoing expansion and modernization of the shipowner’s fleet.
PRS plays key role in construction
An important role in the project was played by Polski Rejestr Statków, which acted as the classification society responsible for technical supervision during the construction and certification process. The involvement of PRS highlights the long-standing cooperation between the classification society, the shipowner, and the Chinese shipyard.
Representation at the ceremony
The naming ceremony was attended by a delegation from Polski Rejestr Statków, led by President of the Management Board Grzegorz Pettke. Other participants included Leszek Pokora, Chong Wang, Karol Pokora, Wojsław Babiński and Wenrong Lu.
The vessel’s Godmother was Katarzyna Bralczyk, Consul and Head of the Economic and Cultural Affairs Unit at the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Shanghai. The ceremony symbolically connected Polish science, diplomacy, and maritime economy on a global scale.
Strengthening PRS position in Asia
The participation of Polski Rejestr Statków in the project and the presence of its President during the ceremony underline the importance of its relationship with Chipolbrok. The event also marks another step in strengthening PRS’s position in Asian markets.
Growing interest from Chinese design offices and shipyards confirms the strong reputation and high level of expertise of the Polish classification society in delivering complex projects worldwide.
The vessel is expected to enter service soon, further enhancing the transport capacity of the shipowner.
