Gdańsk Airport invests half a billion PLN in 2025-2028

Gdańsk airport continues its dynamic expansion of airport infrastructure and services, allocating 500 million PLN for investments over the next four years. Planned projects include the new Bravo office building within the Airport City Gdańsk complex, an eco-friendly carport, expanded airport infrastructure, and a modern technical base for aircraft maintenance.

Expansion of airport infrastructure

A key investment initiative will be the construction of a new aircraft parking apron, PPS4/4A, increasing the number of aircraft stands to 45. As part of the project, scheduled for completion by 2028 at a cost of 105 million PLN, three aircraft de-icing stands and a section of taxiway leading to threshold 11 will also be developed. The tender for the comprehensive design documentation was announced on March 20, 2025.

Eco-friendly infrastructure – carport with photovoltaics

In December 2024, an agreement was signed for the construction of a parking facility with a roof equipped with photovoltaic modules. The investment, carried out by Polimex Budownictwo for 23 million PLN net, will add 930 new parking spaces, bringing the total to approximately 6,500. The photovoltaic installation, generating nearly 2,700 MWh of energy annually, will cover about 12% of the airport's energy demand and reduce its carbon footprint by 13.5% compared to 2023 levels. Completion of the project is planned for mid-2026.

Development of the MRO technical base

Gdańsk airport plans to expand its technical infrastructure, allocating 80 million PLN to develop its MRO (maintenance, repair, operations) base. The modern service facility will enhance aircraft maintenance capabilities, with the project set for completion by 2028.

Next phase of Airport City Gdańsk

Following the success of the Alpha office building, which currently boasts 90% occupancy, Gdańsk airport will commence construction of the next building – Bravo. This modern facility, with a rental space of 16,500 square meters, is expected to be completed by 2028 at a cost of 180 million PLN. The long-term plans for Airport City Gdańsk include a total of seven office buildings and a hotel.
