Energa with strong credit ratings

The credit rating agency Moody’s Investor Service has maintained a long-term credit rating of “Baa1” for Energa SA, in both local and foreign currency. This is the second high and stable rating for the company in recent months—back in December, Fitch Ratings also reaffirmed its BBB+ rating, currently the highest among Poland’s largest energy groups.

An important factor contributing to Energa's strong credit ratings is its active development and modernization of the power grid. This translates into a solid business profile focused on predictable, regulated distribution activities.

Moreover, in the changes awaiting the energy sector, we see not only challenges but also growth opportunities, particularly in the energy storage segment. Moody’s Investor Service upgraded Energa SA’s long-term rating from “Baa2” to the current “Baa1” in 2023. Meanwhile, Fitch Ratings awarded the company a “BBB+” rating for the first time in 2022. Energa SA is also evaluated for ESG ratings by Sustainable Fitch. In November 2024, the company achieved its highest ESG Entity Rating in history, scoring a "2" on a five-point scale.
