Reasons for the alert level extension
These security measures respond to ongoing hybrid threats from Russia and Belarus, as well as the consequences of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. Bravo is the second tier in a four-level alert system, activated in response to heightened and foreseeable terrorist threats, even in the absence of a specific target. The Bravo-CRP level focuses on safeguarding telecommunication and IT infrastructure against cyberattacks.
Key actions under Bravo alert
With the Bravo alert level in place, security services will undertake the following actions:
- Increased monitoring of public spaces and critical infrastructure,
- Strengthened security protocols at strategic facilities,
- Enhanced patrols by the police, border guard, and military gendarmerie,
- Additional inspections of vehicles and individuals in high-risk areas,
- Reinforced security for public transportation and government buildings,
- Mandatory carrying of long firearms and bulletproof vests by officers securing high-risk locations,
- Restricted access to kindergartens, schools, and universities for unauthorized individuals.
Cybersecurity measures under Bravo-CRP
To ensure cybersecurity, public administration and key economic entities must:
- Maintain 24/7 monitoring of IT systems,
- Conduct integrity checks on electronic infrastructure,
- Strengthen incident response procedures,
- Ensure immediate readiness of IT teams to counter cyber threats.
Heightened vigilance is essential
During the alert period, all citizens and business representatives must remain vigilant, particularly in maritime and logistics-related facilities such as ports, transshipment terminals, shipyards, and industrial sites. Special attention should be paid to:
- Unattended luggage, packages, or cargo,
- Unusual behavior by individuals,
- Vehicles parked in strategic locations.
In case of any suspicious activity, authorities should be notified immediately via the emergency number 112. The security of the nation, including critical maritime infrastructure, relies on collective responsibility and cooperation.
