The workshop is aimed at businesses providing services in areas including high- and medium-voltage infrastructure maintenance, facility management, and physical security of industrial assets. The meeting will have a practical format and will be led by experts from PGE Baltica.

Preparing local suppliers for the O&M phase

According to the company, the workshop will present the scope of services planned for the operational phase of Baltica 2’s onshore infrastructure, including the operations and maintenance base in Ustka and the onshore substation in Osieki Lęborskie. Participants will also learn about the competence, technical, and quality requirements expected from contractors involved in operation and maintenance (O&M) activities.

PGE Baltica says the initiative is intended to help local companies prepare for participation in offshore wind projects and strengthen their competitiveness by improving their understanding of standards and procedures applied in large-scale infrastructure investments.

Baltica 2 scheduled for commissioning in 2027

PGE Baltica is responsible for the development, construction, and operation of offshore wind farms within the PGE Group. Its most advanced project, Baltica 2, is being developed jointly with Ørsted and is expected to deliver 1.5 GW of installed capacity. The offshore wind farm is scheduled to enter operation in 2027.

Procurement procedures related to the operational phase of the project’s onshore infrastructure are expected to begin in the near future.

Registration for the workshop is open until June 1 via the PGE Baltica website.
