The appointments, approved by the company’s Supervisory Board in May 2026, add Dr. Jacek Szczepaniak and Anna Salomon to the management board of OBR CTM’s seventh term.
The move is intended to reinforce the executive team led by President Marcin Wiśniewski and support the company’s growing portfolio of projects in defence, maritime security, critical infrastructure and advanced technologies.
Strengthening R&D and defence innovation
Effective 4 May 2026, Dr. Jacek Szczepaniak joined the management board, bringing more than 35 years of experience in defence technologies, innovation management and research commercialization.
Dr. Szczepaniak holds a PhD from the University of Gdańsk and completed postgraduate studies at Gdańsk University of Technology. Throughout his career, he has been involved in the development and implementation of advanced defence technologies across both commercial and research sectors.
His expertise spans technology development, innovation ecosystems and cooperation between industry and academia—key areas for organizations operating in high-value defence and maritime technology markets.
The appointment is expected to strengthen OBR CTM’s technological leadership, particularly in projects requiring integration of scientific research with industrial deployment.
Digital transformation and systems integration expertise
Anna Salomon joined the management board on 11 May 2026, adding extensive experience in digital transformation, security systems, critical infrastructure and maritime economy projects.
A graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Gdańsk and MBA holder, Salomon has been associated with advanced technology and security sectors for many years. She previously led the Digital Baltic project within the company’s organizational structure.
Her professional background includes digitalization strategies, systems integration and development of modern technologies dedicated to security and maritime industries.
Salomon has also managed projects involving collaboration between industry, public administration and research institutions, reflecting the increasingly cross-sectoral nature of innovation in maritime security.
Response to growing strategic demand
The board expansion comes amid OBR CTM’s dynamic growth and increasing involvement in projects of strategic importance to Poland’s defence industry and maritime sector.
As demand rises for naval modernization, autonomous systems, cyber resilience and maritime infrastructure security, the company continues to strengthen both operational and technological capabilities.
The addition of experienced executives is expected to support further organizational scaling and enhance the company’s ability to deliver complex projects combining marine systems, electronics, digital solutions and defence technologies.
Key player in Poland’s maritime defence ecosystem
The latest management changes align with OBR CTM’s long-term strategy to reinforce its position as one of Poland’s most important research and development centers supporting national security, defence industrial growth and maritime innovation.
With the Baltic Sea region gaining further geopolitical significance and investment in maritime security accelerating, OBR CTM continues to position itself as a critical technology partner for both domestic and international stakeholders.
