During the maneuvers, both vessels transferred fuel, water, provisions, and ammunition while underway. RAS operations allow crews to familiarize themselves with each other’s procedures and strengthen cooperation between the Netherlands and France.
Aboard Zr.Ms. Friesland, the NH-90 helicopter also took off and landed, conducting aerial patrols around the vessel. The exercise was not only operationally effective but also visually impressive, providing striking imagery and video material.
- Exercises like these enhance operational readiness and reinforce collaboration with our allies, emphasized representatives of the Koninklijke Marine, the Royal Netherlands Navy.
Zr.Ms. Friesland remains an active participant in regional operations, demonstrating both commitment to maritime security and the ability to conduct effective international cooperation.
